What’s Twitter good for then? Footie fans’ dream job, Downing St on Wikinomics and the best viral (ever!)

1. Is this the best job on the net? May well be if you’re a football lover…

2. Is someone in Whitehall reading Wikinomics?

www.carveconsulting.com/blog £20K bounty on the best idea. Worth a click!

3. Is this the best viral of the year? http://www.news3online.com/ Try it. Very cool… Move over http://www.simpsonizeme.com/

How did I find these? Twitter… Thanks to Sky Emma for No1, Carve Consulting for no2 and Jim Stroud for no3. You can follow these guys by going to http://www.twitter.com/ and putting their names into the search box at the top of the screen.

Twitter’s not everyone’s cup of tea… I don’t think its a viable option for UK candidate sourcing (yet) but its worth keeping an eye on. Becoming more popular in the US as there are far more users there. Check out http://www.summize.com/ - search for key words in people’s tweets. If you’re trying to source someone from Twitter, drop some key words into summize and it’ll look for them in the twitter conversations. This is really cute - loads of applications for this, not just recruitment. Thinking about going to see a movie? Type in “great movie” or the title of the film you’re thinking about going to see and get instant to “real” reviews…

In the meantime, have a good weekend and happy tweeting!
